Energy Clearing

Everything on this planet carries a unique vibration. Each person, animal, plant, mineral, thought, and emotion gives off an energetic frequency. As we encounter different people and places we mingle with their energy and may absorb it in our auric field and may need to do some energy clearing.

Typically, it involves the burning of dried sage leaves to create a cleansing smoke bath to remove unwanted negative energy and allow positive energy to enter. You can find bundles of dried sage at some health food stores and most occult shops.

1. To begin smudging a room, home, apartment, or office begin by opening all the windows in the space. This allows a space for the negative energy to escape and fresh positive energy to flow through.

2. Next state your intention either by thinking or saying aloud that you are clearing the space of unwanted energy and are ushering in positive energy.

3. Light one end of the dried sage bundle and blow out the flame so that it is giving off a stream of smoke.

4. Carry the smoking sage with you by hand or place in a bowl and saturate each room, closet, corner, and doorway of your living space with the smoke. It is important that the smoke goes everywhere, especially in corners and closets.

5. Lastly make sure to smudge the doorway outside your home and yourself before putting out the bundle. The smudge stick can be reused if you didn’t go through all of it. Put it out like you would a cigarette and make sure it doesn’t have any burning embers left. I usually leave mine outside for a while to make sure that it is completely out before I store it in air safe container for a later time.

Emotional Cleansing Bath

Feeling frazzled, stressed out, or emotionally drained? You       may have picked up some negative energy and could benefit from an emotional cleansing bath. Apple Cider Vinegar has many benefits, among them is soothing the energetic body when it is in need of healing.

1. First, shower to physically cleanse your body before you take your bath.

2. Fill the bathtub with warm to hot water and add 3 cups of raw Apple Cider Vinegar


3. Turn down the lights and light a few candles to set a warm mood.

4. Soak in the tub for 20 minutes, allowing your self to relax.

5. When finished, rinse off any residual energy with quick shower.

This bath is a gentle energy clearing tool. I generally do this bath anytime I feel emotionally drained and in need for some soothing.

Negative Energy Cleansing Bath

Find yourself feeling depressed, angry, or thinking negative thoughts? Or perhaps you went to a place where the energy just “felt” icky and it has had an affect on you.

A rejuvenating sea salt bath is a great energy clearing tool that removes negative energy or ‘auric dirt.’

Sea salt is a deeply purifying. Sea salt can draw out and then dissolve, or dissipate, negative energies from within and around your body and being. This is why many crystal therapists, space clearing/feng shui and other experts use it and recommend it to their clients. Sea salt is alkaline and can help de-acidify the body and raise the pH level of the body. Stress and negativity have an acidic effect on the body. The salt water will penetrate the pores of the skin and then enter the bloodstream and the tissues.

1. First, shower to physically cleanse your body before you take your bath.

2. Fill the bathtub with warm to hot water and add 1 to 2 cups of sea salt

3. Add any essential oils if using them. You can use Hyssop oil for purification, Lavender oil to relax, Peppermint oil to rejuvenate and get energized, and a combination of oils, such as Ylang Ylang, Neroli Rose, Frankincense and Myrrh, for a frequency enhancing spiritual soak.

4. Turn down the lights and light a few white candles to enhance your connection with the divine.

5. Soak in the tub for 20 minutes, allowing your self to relax.

6. When finished, rinse off any residual energy with quick shower.

If you find yourself feeling very negative, take the negative energy cleansing bath 3 consecutive days in a row.

Sinus Infection Home Remedy

If you’ve ever had a sinus infection, you know that they’re no fun.

Headache, pressure, pain behind your eyes, runny/stuffy nose, fever, and fatigue, are just a few of the symptoms you feel when you have a sinus infection.

I had the flu earlier this year and it started turning into a head cold/sinus infection.

I used to run to the doctor for a round of antibiotics whenever I felt one coming on, until I discovered a wonderful home remedy that is just as effective.

My home remedy is to do a neti pot with saline and grapefruit seed extract.

Grape fruit seed extract is a natural antibiotic and has anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties.

If you google grapefruit seed extract benefits online you’ll find numerous ways you can use it and why it’s beneficial. In fact, that just gave me an idea for my next article… but for now, back to my neti pot.

Here’s what you need:

* Large mug

* Neti pot

* 1-2 cups distilled water

* 1-2 saline packets

* Grapefruit seed extract


1. Fill a large mug with distilled water and microwave for 1-2 min. The water should be warm (not too hot, not too cold).

2. Add 1 to 2 packets of sea salt and 5 to 7 drops of grapefruit seed extract. Stir with spoon to dissolve thoroughly.

3. Lean your head forward over a sink, bending your neck down slightly with your eyes looking downwards.

4.Gently place the spout of the neti pot inside your right nostril, forming a seal to avoid any outer leakage.

5. Open your mouth slightly. Breathe continuously through your open mouth during this sinus cleansing procedure. This allows a necessary air passageway so that the water will not drain from behind your nose into your mouth.

6. Tilt your head sideways, so that your right nostril is directly above your left nostril. Tip the neti pot, allowing the water solution to pour into your right nostril. Within a few seconds the water will naturally drain from your left nostril into the sink.

7. After the net pot is empty, remove the spout from your right nostril, and exhale through both nostrils. Gently blow your nose into a tissue.

8. Repeat steps 1 through 7 for your left nostril.
